I listened to the audio version of this book, and the narrator screwed up the names of several characters and that just put me off. Also, I haven't read the first 3 books in this series and now I really don't have to. There isn't a whole lot of backstory and if I were to pick a book that started in the middle I am glad it was this one because I feel like this one was probably the most complete and now I can move on.

Three out of four crimes are never solved. It started with 2 leftover crimes, perhaps from a previous book. It then created two more but solved only one and left the rest, perhaps for a future book.
There should be a warning on the cover that informs a potential purchaser that they are buying into a soap opera.
It is also a "Chick Flick".
I'll never buy another by this author.

| I have been a fan of Ms. Bond's mystery books. I have read them all. I am not a fan of her Harlequin style sex books. It seems she forgot what she was writing this time. She throws in some very unnecessary graphic sex discussions that adds nothing to the story and seems forced for the sake of having it there. Her addtion of thrown in ugly words, the big "f" word is distasteful. Shame on you Ms.Bond for stooping so low. The characters are the same for the series and the mystery ok, however she does not finish the plot and ends the books without any conclusion, like she just got tired of writing and closed up shop. Definitely do not buy this unless you buy #5 to complete the story. Not sure I will continue to read her books if she continues to go down the nasty path. | | | | Where is the rest of the book?
