Bought this book for Jayne Castle's Bridal Jitters story  Aug 16, 2009
I bought Charmed for Jayne Castle's Bridal Jitters story. It is a very hard book to find and so I was tickled to see it included in this anthology. It is part of her Ghost Hunters series. My only dislike with the story is that it is so short. I am a huge fan of Jayne Castle's Ghost Hunters stories, and I was pleased with this story as well. It is Sam Gage and Virginia Burch's story. Sam and Virginia are engaged to be married, but it is a business marriage of convenience or so that is what Virginia thinks. Sam is a powerful ghost hunter and Virginia specializes in illusion traps in this futuristic story that is nothing like anything you've ever read. It was my favorite of the four stories in this anthology.

Man in the Mirror by Julie Beard was just a little cheesy for me. Katie Montgomery is transported back in time by way of a mirror. She thinks that she is meeting with her one true love which is what disappoints me (spoiler) about this story. She falls in love with this wounded knight from King Arthur's time yet doesn't end up with him at the end of the story. What? I didn't care too much for this story.

Lori Foster's Tangled Dreams story was not my favorite either. I just didn't care for it either. Chase Winston can read Allison Barrow's thoughts and most of them involve her and him having sex. Chase is the second oldest Winston brother, and he is known to have a certain sexual fetish, hence the title. There are some ghosts in Allison's home who feel like Chase is the one man who will bring out Allison's passionate side. This was a really goofy story. Moving on...

I was pleasantly surprise by Eileen Wilk's Pandora's Battle though. Dora Kitlock goes away for the weekend with her boyfriend John Raven not knowing that he is harboring a secret that will change their lives forever. She will have to make a choice between John and his other half Jack. I thought that was story was going to be terrible, but it was different and interesting. If it weren't for Jayne and Eileen's story, this book would have gotten a lot lower of a rating from me. 4 stars!

A disappointment  Jan 11, 2009
This was a disappointment to me, as I had expected a novel by Jayne Castle and the book was actually stories by different authors, with the Castle just one (quite short) of a group.

Collection of re-runs.  Dec 30, 2008
This is a collection of re-runs. As I started to read the first story I realized that I had already read it. So...I checked the copyright and sure enough, these books were originally published in '99 and re-packaged for this edition. I always feel ripped off when the publishers do this. On top of that, they were marginal reads the first time.

Fun Fantasy Romance  Jul 10, 2007
I love this collection so much that I have read and re-read it! Each of the stories is distinct in its flavor and packs an interesting paranormal punch. Some of the scenes are hot, hot, hot! It's one of my all-time favorites.

Yuck.  Jun 12, 2006
Out of the four, only Jayne Castle's and Lori Foster's are worth mentioning at all. The other two are totally forgettable. Castle's is a nice little addition to her futuristics (little being the operative word).

Lori Foster's story left me cold. It had the potential to be a great story - I loved the mind reading stuff - but frankly the sex creeped me out. I've always enjoyed a little kink in the sex scenes, it makes a story interesting. But the thought of ALWAYS having bondage sex, which is NEVER reciprocal... BLECH. The guy needs to see a sex therapist.
